URGENT - Sassy 9 yr old tortie cat living in cage in garage for months! - Newburgh NY

Poor Sassy has lived in a garage in a cage now for 7 months. She is very sweet and not sassy at all. She lived her whole nine years in a colony with other cats and was cared for by a slightly handicapped woman. She would let Sassy and the others in the house on cold days.  We've been caring for them, giving them food and shelter. One day we found Sassy having difficulty walking with one eye drooping. She never let us pet her when she was outside but once we got her to the vet and now in a cage she has become very affectionate and always crying for attention. She had a mild stroke and is now fully recovered but we could not put her back outside. We're hoping to find someone who can open their heart and home to this older girl and give her the real home she never had...even if you were only able to foster her. She will likely be a bit timid but will warm up once she gets to know you. Sassy is spayed, vaccinated and negative for FLV and FIV.
