P.K. is STILL at the shelter....EIGHT YEARS - that's a long time to live in a shelter. He is about 10 years old, and enjoys the daily life here, but would love to finally have a home of his own. He gets along with everyone but does lack confidence. He needs someone to give him a chance and to show him what life outside of a shelter is like. P.K. is eligible for our A.D.O.P.T. program (adult dogs offered professional training) where we send long time residents to live in the home of a professional dog trainer for up to 2 weeks. There they learn the basics of home life, crate training and general acclimation to life out of a shelter. This is one of our most successful programs and it is free to all approved adopters of long time residents. If you have a place in your heart to save a most deserving dog, consider P.K.
