Bruno and Mimi are 11 yr
old sibling boxer/Rottweiler mixes, who have spent their entire lives
living at a local furniture building store in the Kingsbridge section of
the Bronx. They are super social
and great with kids and ok with other dogs too. Best Bullies, Inc. is trying to help because
unfortunately the store owner is losing his store soon (his rent is being
doubled) and these brothers have nowhere to go. They need a home by the end of this month (April). Mimi
(short for Demetrius) is ailing and not in great health physically, but neither
have major medical issues. They are not neutered. They each weigh
about 120 pounds.
We took them for a vet
visit (their first time ever seeing a vet). She prescribed to Mimi some pills
to ease the pain in his old bones. When
he was about two years old a worker smashed his back with a two-by-four, so he
has walked with a painful limp ever since. (The worker was promptly
fired).
The owner does not take
them out for walks. They relieve themselves in a little area behind the store.
The owner will not be able to take them to his home.
