Poor old dog - husky maybe deaf needs help now or will be put down - VA

APPOMATTOX, VA--FRIENDS we really need your help. This senior boy was brought into the facility 11/27/12 as a stray. He is having a very rough time. We believe he is completely deaf and most likely has mange or some other skin infestation. Without a rescue commitment in the next 5 days or so, this boy will stand no chance in this rural shelter. Please share his photo and story far and wide. We are hoping, beyond hope, that there is a rescue that can take him and give him the care he so desperately needs and deserves. Cat Cat needs home or rescue - abandoned by owner's relatives living in kennel

This 12 year old girl is still sitting lonely in a boarding kennel and totally forgotten about. She is loving and likes to just lay around and sleep, so she is no problem. No one got her out of the shelter and she came to our local boarding kennel for her safety and now has been forgotten completely. Her owner went into nursing home and the family just dumped her. 5yr old, Male, stiff when walks, bilateral cataracts, protein depositions both eyes, dental dz, stressed- not sheltering well . look how sweet he is.

Two BLind Dogs Need rescue now - Baltimiore MD

I"m attaching pictures of one of the blind dogs at Baltimore County Animal Control on 13800 Manor Rd, Baldwin MD.  There are actually two blind dogs there right now with not much time left.  

1) Max - small, older pom mix G36687, kennel 22.  Little blk. and white pom/mix, approx. 10 lbs. Male, Stray, Old and Blind. Very sweet. Just wanted to cuddle in my arms when I picked him up. They said he is housebroken and seems to be okay with other animals. He is in Kennel #22, ID No. G-36687.  Max is shown in the first and last pictures.  He is approximately 9 years old.  Max is neutered.

2) Female (name unknown) - small, white with black spots, G36508, kennel 27.  This is the old, blind female in Kennel 27, ID No. G-36508. Extremely sweet. BCAC said housebroken and good with other dogs (which def. seems to be the case).  She is overweight.  They are weighing them all today and giving them all their shots so they will be ready for rescue.  She is a terrier/mix. Also very friendly when I touched her.  She is in the second and third pictures.  She is approximately 8 years old and weighs 31 pounds, but needs to lose about 10 of those.  She is spayed.  She was found as a stray.
 They are getting up to date on shots today (11/26) and are ready to be released.  Transport help may be available.

13 year old Isabelle - female German Shepherd turned in by dying owner

"We just had a 13 yr old German Shep come in that is a sweetheart named Isabella tag 550281. The owner had to give her up because he is terminally ill. He was crying and crying it was awful.

She is 13 years old, 75 lbs., pure bred, sweet personality, house trained, and good with kids.
