I don't think you can get a better dog than Heidi. She is great with other dogs. She really can't be bothered. She can, basically, walk without a leash; that's how amazing she is. She knows her basic commands(sit, stay, paw and down). She does not beg, bark or jump. She has not had one accident in the house. She goes to the door when she needs to go to the bathroom. She absolutely LOVES children. She's a bit hand shy (we cannot blame her) but is eager to be petted and loved greeting everyone at the park. She's so calm and laid back. She just wants to sit next to you and enjoy your company.Heidi is very tiny at around 40 lbs. She's spayed and microchipped. We estimate her to be around 8 years old. She has a very long life ahead of her.At the moment, I have no foster home for Heidi. I need time to find her the best home. If you or anyone you know is able to foster Heidi, PLEASE email me at lauren.campanella@gmail.com immediately!!!In order for me to take Heidi to the vet and to meet any potential adopters, the foster home needs to be in either Staten Island, NY, Manhattan, NY or nearby New Jersey. If you need any further information please do not hesitate to ask.Thank you,Lauren CampanellaThrough Their Eyes Rescue, Inc.Sunday, November 8, 2009

Adopt Saya, beautiful 8 year old cat

Saya is 8 years, grey, with a beautiful white chest and paws. She is an indoor cat, spayed, and has seriously never been sick. We have to give her up for adoption because my wife is highly allergic to cats and I had to choose between the two. ;-) Saya is probably the coolest cat in the world, and she made me become a cat lover even though I was more of a dog person. She is playfull, doesn't bite or scratch any furniture, and has made me laugh numerous times with her curiosity and childish nature. She might seem a little shy in the beginning, but it will only take her a few days to get used to her new friends and she is all yours. Saya has been with us and numerous roommates that have come and gone over the years and literally every single one has fallen in love with her. I know you will, too. Please contact Philipp at 917.306.9972 or email me at philipp@filmgym.net.

Adopt Cuda, senior female shepherd mix

Cuda is a sweet girl who is 12+ years old. She is a mutt, part German Shepherd. She loves to go on long walks and chase squirrels. In the house, she can be found sleeping soundly on her bed or gnawing on pig's ears and greenies. She's a noble watchdog as well. Her best friend is a chihuahua named Jett. Cuda tends to be uncomfortable around other dogs, especially larger dogs, and children as they are unpredictable.
Cuda needs a new home because her present owner, who took her in five years ago, moved to a walk-up in December. Cuda will not be able to handle the stairs. Her hind legs are getting weak. She went to the vet last month and she otherwise is very healthy. She has a good heart and lungs. mail joansdogs@aol.com for application to adopt this sweet dog!
