Precious arrived in PA yesterday. She is about 45 lbs. and appears to be a collie mix....with possibly shepherd. She is a sweet girl....very affectionate....and great with kids and other pets. Adopt Felix, PB American Shorthair, age 10

I am Felix the cat and this is my story. I spent my life with an elderly woman who I adored. She had to go into a nursing home. She is 97. I could not go with her and I am all alone in an empty apartment. I am 10 years old and she adopted me as a kitten. A kind woman is feeding me once a day and I sit on her lap until she leaves. But I have already been alone for a month. I am not used to a lot of noise so I need a quiet home. I never lived with other animals so I would like to be your only pet but I would probably be ok with one other older cat. Lois and Pepper have been buddies for a long time. She adopted him from a shelter when he was a puppy, and he has been her best friend and loyal companion for over 11 years. Lois can no longer care for Pepper, and she has decided that the right thing to do is find him a good, loving home. Pepper is in a boarding kennel now, and Lois hasn’t seen him in months. As you can imagine, this is very difficult for her. Is there someone with compassion in their heart who would adopt Pepper, give him a loving home and occasionally take him to visit Lois?

Foster/Adopt Heidi, 8 year old black lab mix

I don't think you can get a better dog than Heidi. She is great with other dogs. She really can't be bothered. She can, basically, walk without a leash; that's how amazing she is. She knows her basic commands(sit, stay, paw and down). She does not beg, bark or jump. She has not had one accident in the house. She goes to the door when she needs to go to the bathroom. She absolutely LOVES children. She's a bit hand shy (we cannot blame her) but is eager to be petted and loved greeting everyone at the park. She's so calm and laid back. She just wants to sit next to you and enjoy your company.Heidi is very tiny at around 40 lbs. She's spayed and microchipped. We estimate her to be around 8 years old. She has a very long life ahead of her.At the moment, I have no foster home for Heidi. I need time to find her the best home. Adopt Saya, beautiful 8 year old cat

Saya is 8 years, grey, with a beautiful white chest and paws. She is an indoor cat, spayed, and has seriously never been sick. We have to give her up for adoption because my wife is highly allergic to cats and I had to choose between the two. ;-) Saya is probably the coolest cat in the world, and she made me become a cat lover even though I was more of a dog person. She is playfull, doesn't bite or scratch any furniture, and has made me laugh numerous times with her curiosity and childish nature. She might seem a little shy in the beginning, but it will only take her a few days to get used to her new friends and she is all yours. Debbie is a nice,quiet dog,who likes to sniff around and see if there is anything good to eat,lurking in the shadows....She likes people,but she is not a sit in your lap kind of girl...She walks well on leash and would be an easy companion for someone who wants a low key dog...She loves other dogs and shares her kennel with George another sr...She is about 8 yrs old..
