Adopt Sasha, 10 year old declawed "tiffany" cat

I am a 10 year old, declawed, vaccinated, tested (neg), spayed special needs Tiffany cat. I was vomiting a lot and my family was going to put me to sleep. I've had an array of tests, blood work, X-rays, exams and testing, supplements, medication and nothing shows that I have any major illness or disease. Tiffany cats are very fragile and sensitive and my tummy gets upset and I vomit when I'm stressed and scared. I do eat special food for sensitive kitty stomachs and that helps me a lot too. I Need to find a home that is QUIET AND CALM so that I don't stress and get upset. I don't mind having another kitty friend as long as they don't torment me and make me scared because then I vomit. Dogs bother me a lot so no dogs. I love to cuddle and l love to follow you around as I need to know that I am a part of a family or someone's life. I would really LOVE to have a forever home that understands my needs and know that sometimes I get scared and vomit. I need to gain weight as I am very skinny. I need my quiet forever home very very soon. Do you have it in your heart to help me? PLEASE RESPOND DIRECTLY TO MICHELE AT MOLSEN15@YAHOO.COM or MONICA at ENLIGHTENED34@aol.com

Adopt Raven, beautiful 8-9 year old boston/staffordshire terrier

Raven, (formerly known as Heidi) was originally impounded at the shelter about a year ago. She was adopted to a home without a fenced in yard and unfortunately, routinely escaped. She needs to be in a home that can keep an eye on her as she has proven to like her strolls around the neighborhood. She is best as an only pet and with older children. She loves human companionship, chew toys, walks, and treats! She is fully vetted, spayed, vaccinated, housebroken, clean and ready for a new place to call home. Please contact the Trumbull Canine Shelter at (203) 452-5088; 324 Church Hill Road, Trumbull, CT.. ACO, Lynn Dellabianca can be contacted at ldellabianca@trumbull-ct.org
The shelter is open Monday through Friday 10-3:30 and Saturday from 10-5. We are also open Monday, Wednesday and Friday evenings from 7-9.
*Raven is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.

Adopt Charlie, senior Treeing Walker Coonhound

Charlie is approx. a 10 year old dog that we saved from Georgia back in April 2008! We thought he would not have long to live after our vet diagnosed him with cancer, but Charlie has proven everyone wrong. He is still alive, doing well, and bouncing around like a puppy. He loves to be outside and to go for long walks and car rides. We think he would be fine with other senior dogs preferring the ladies, but maybe he would be best as an only dog or maybe one of a pair. He is happy and is in good enough condition to be moved to a sanctuary type of home who understands this is a not going to be a long commitment but is a commitment to give a good dog the quality of life he deserves for the time he has left. We all have younger dogs and we are not the best choice to foster Charlie. He was living with a shelter volunteer who has four dogs and Charlie gets nervous he will be knocked down by the younger dogs and is clearly not as happy as he would be being around another dog who is older like him and wants to do the things he wants to do at the pace he can do them. He is currently at the Trumbull Canine Shelter, 324 Church Hill Road, Trumbull, CT, (203) 452-5088. ACO, Lynn Dellabianca can be contacted at ldellabianca@trumbull-ct.org and/or by contacting Virginia Silano, President of FOBAS, Inc. at: VMARCONI@aol.com
*Charlie is up-to-date with routine shots and spayed/neutered.

Taylor is a sweet senior husky mix, 11-12 years old, who is waiting for her forever home at the Bergen County Animal Shelter in Teterboro, NJ. She is slightly wary of new people and handling, probably still bewildered over losing her home. She walks nicely on leash. With an older dog personality, she needs a calm home with daily walks for exercise. We recommend crate training to avoid her learning protective behaviors when not supervised. email aliceakrieger@aol.com for more information. Taylor is in NJ.

Foster or Adopt Baxter, 8 year old labrador retriever

Meet Baxter. He is wonderful with children and social with everyone he meets. After living with a family, they abandoned him and drove away. A more heartless act we just don'tu nderstand because he is the sweetest dog. After landing in a shelter, Baxter was adopted by a young couple. But when he was left with a friend, he became anxious and now suffers from separation anxiety. The new owners who are having a a second child decided to euthanize Baxter until Labrador Retriever Rescue of CT stepped in to help him. He knows all his commands and walks right by your side. It will be a challenge for a new person to take Baxter home as Baxter will likely be stressed, but Baxter's issues are emotional and we believe that in the right home and with commitment, he can feel secure once again. At this time in his life, 8 years old, we are praying for that special someone to embrace this sensitive and loving companion and to stick with him through thick and thin. We know for sure that Baxter would never give up on the people he loves and hope that he will have several years of joy, without a reason to fear abandonment again. If you are that special someone, please contact us immediately as time is running out. Thank you!! Baxter :o) is up-to-date with routine shots, house trained and spayed/neutered.
please email dogresqr@yahoo.com to foster or adopt Baxter.

Margarita is an awfully sweet and fairly petite Australian Cattle dog/Chow mix. This 6 year old girl weighs about 46 pounds. She came to Bideawee from the city shelter, and is understandably quite anxious, though very loving. She needs an experienced adopter who can provide Margarita with a lot of structure through training, obedience, and exercise. This will help her build confidence and keep her mind busy. Margarita can go home with dog-savvy kids over age 10. Her new family will need to complete her housebreaking. Audrey Fisher - Adoption Outreach Coordinator - audrey.fisher@bideawee.org
