Adopt Onyk, beautiful 9 year old senior black labrador
Poor Onyx was turned in because his owner could not afford him any more. Onyx is 9 years old and his owner told us he is housebroken. He weighs 74 pounds. Calm and sedate at the shelter, he is more interested in exploring his surroundings than in meeting new people, but he has not shown any aggression and we expect him to get more interested in people as he gets used to the shelter. For more information, contact Alice at AliceAKrieger@aol.com or Doris at Pupkit3@aol.com. Vet references will be required. Bergen County Animal Shelter.

Adopt Lila, adorable 10 year old female jack russell terrier
WATCH MY VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-NzeNTjG28
Meet Lila -
Her family retired, moved to Florida... and left her behind. Lila, an adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix, their devoted companion of 10 years, suddenly abandoned, scared and alone. They dropped her at a municipal shelter, where she faced being put to sleep. Thankfully, we were able to transfer this senior pooch into Bideawee. The 17 pound dog is remarkably spunky for her age - she can keep up with the fastest walkers! Once Lila is comfortable with a person, she typically does very well, becoming social and playful. She is best suited for an experienced, adult family, as she has demonstrated mild resource guarding. Lila gets along with some other dogs and seems to be friendly with cats, but she would be perfectly happy as your only pet! She's very cute and deserves so much more in her "retirement"! Lila also loves to run through puddles and jump in fountains - she loves to play in water! please contact Audrey Fisher

Adopt jasmine, sweet senior kitty
We adopted Jasmine who is 13 with another cat who has since passed and two dogs when my mother in law passed away 3 years ago. We had our first child a year and a half ago and she is starting to get rough with Jasmine. Pulling her tail and grabbing at her. Jasmine is so sweet that she will not move away and I am afraid Jasmine will get hurt.
Bbetween our now three dogs (granted one is temporary) one child and another on the way Jasmine is not getting any attention from us. She loves to cuddle up and she is not getting any of that. I am not one to give up on an animal but there comes a point where they could be happier in another environment. if you would like to adopt Jasmine, please respond to joansdogs@aol.com for application. thanks.
