Adopt Ruth, 13 year old corgi - owner went into nursing home

More About Ruth
Such a sad story for this poor girl =( Ruth's owner went into a nursing home and thought she was leaving Ruth with someone who would care for her for the rest of her life. It seems this person brought Ruth to a vet to be euthanized. I know... we are very upset and cannot believe it either!
Anyway, the wonderful vet would not put down a healthy dog just because she was a senior! She called us and of course we agreed to help 13 year old Ruth =) She is soooo easy going and very sweet. Ruth has a good appetite and walks well on her leash. She's the perfect size at about 35 lbs. and just a lovely, lovely dog! We are looking for someone who does not have too many stairs being she is a senior. She just needs a warm, quiet home to enjoy her golden years in peace and love.
If you are interested in meeting Ruth, please email adopt@bobbicares.org!
Thank you so much =) Bobbi and the Strays

Beautiful 10 year old male german shepherd for adoption

This 10 year old was turned in because his family didn't have time for him. They told us Rocky was housebroken and while he was OK with the family's cats, he didn't do well with animals he didn't know. At the shelter Rocky hasn't been very interested in people. It will probably take some time for him to bond well with people, and he may never get very affectionate. Rocky is looking for a home with no children under 10 and preferable a fenced yard with people willing to work through some issues. email SSchulz@co.bergen.nj.us for more information.

Adopt Suzy, 13 year old female black labrador

Suzy is a beautiful 13 year old Black Lab/Retriever who has lost her home due to the family's tragic financial hardship. Suzy's and her companion Buster had been loving family companions all their lives and best friends of the children since the kids were born. When Buster got adopted, Suzy lost the last connection she had to her once happy life. Great with other dogs, cats and children of all ages, Suzy, deserves a home that will give her back all the love she has in her heart. Youthful and playful (she loves to play ball!!), Suzy has so much life to live. Already separated from the only family she's ever known, we're reminded that these hard economic times not only destroy people's lives, but their canine companions as well. If you have room in your home and heart for a gentle senior, please meet Suzy. She is sure to give back your kindness with a grateful paw. email dogresqr@yahoo.com for more information
