Adopt senior dog Cristal, given up because "kids are grown"

When we first saw Cristal she was surrendered at a kill shelter by her owner. She must have known she was going to lose the only family and home she ever knew as she was petrified and trembling. Her owner handed over her leash and did not look back as she was dragged away. His reason for giving her up was ...the kids were grown and out of the house and he did not want her anymore. We could not watch this poor girl with her tail tucked and her body shaking without our hearts breaking. We took her out of the shelter that day. The first 48 hours she was confused and trying to settle in. She is a smart girl and once she knew the routine in her foster home she began to shine and show her true personality. Her foster family said that she is a real doll, a rare beauty and a wonderful girl. We were told that she is 13 years old (but no one told Cristal that), housebroken and UTD on shots. She not only looks younger then her years she acts younger too. She loves being out in the yard but also likes to just hang out with you and she appears to be good with other dogs. She is an easy dog who doesn't require a lot...just a little love and attention. Please open up your heart and home to this girl who has lost so much....all she wants is to really have a family of her own. email marthadoodle@aol.com - Eleventh Hour Rescue - watch my youtube video! Adopt Bella, adorable 9 year old cat!

Bella is super hilarious and very quirky- She is 9 years old, completely comfortable around people and other pets! (she loves dogs- if they love her!) and she is extremely entertaining. She is clean and, she is very active. 9 years old is NOT old for a cat as many cats can live to be 20! A covered litter box, a cat taxi, and a ton of toys come with Bella too, if appreciated. Please email Guerrin Gardner at: guerrin.gardner@gmail.com if interested in adopting!

Adopt Maeve, 11 year old calico female cat

MAEVE, the little Celtic Calico whom we just pulled from Death Row, was with a family as their "beloved" pet for 11 years. Then, due to someone with allergies, she was sent to a shelter. Now she is in a caring home that is V E R Y temporary and needs her Furrrrever home for the next chapter of her life. She is sweet, good-natured, loving, healthy, spayed, and all tests are negative. But she is confused and somewhat shaken by having her life disrupted; she needs her faith in humans restored. Please let us know if yours is the purrrfect home for Maeve. She can be seen in midtown Manhattan. For further information, adoption application, donation requirements etc., please call 212-642-8219 (NY) or email at this address: wellbeings77@gmail.com

Adopt Maya, beautiful senior sheltie mix

Maya is desperately looking for a new home, and time is not on her side. She has lived in the same home for 9yrs with her family, who rescued her from a beach in Puerto Rico at 2 months old. Maya has always been very timid, shy, and insecure. She has done well in her home until now. With the activity level of a new toddler in the home, Maya is extremely stressed out. Her family has tried training and everything else that they could for their beloved dog. They even send her to a doggie country club day care program a few times a week to destress. Nothing is working. Sadly for Maya, the stress of having a toddler around is just too much for her. She needs a new home now. Maya is looking for a calm household. She does get along with some dogs and may do well with a mellow, submissive male dog. If you are interesed, email K9training@rbari.org
