Meet Baxter. He is wonderful with children and social with everyone he meets. After living with a family, they abandoned him and drove away. A more heartless act we just don'tu nderstand because he is the sweetest dog. After landing in a shelter, Baxter was adopted by a young couple. But when he was left with a friend, he became anxious and now suffers from separation anxiety. The new owners who are having a a second child decided to euthanize Baxter until Labrador Retriever Rescue of CT stepped in to help him. He knows all his commands and walks right by your side. It will be a challenge for a new person to take Baxter home as Baxter will likely be stressed, but Baxter's issues are emotional and we believe that in the right home and with commitment, he can feel secure once again. At this time in his life, 8 years old, we are praying for that special someone to embrace this sensitive and loving companion and to stick with him through thick and thin. We know for sure that Baxter would never give up on the people he loves and hope that he will have several years of joy, without a reason to fear abandonment again.
